Orders can be placed:
  • by catalog on-line (login on library account first)
  • by sending an email to wypozyczalnia.wfis@uw.edu.pl,
  • by submitting a paper reverse (available at the reading room)
  • order placed personally in the Library
For materials currently on loan – you can make a reservation if it is less than 95 days until the return date.

The user has free access to the collections in the reading room, while the materials used should be put away in a dedicated trolley.

Important! Books in Reading Room can by ordered

In accordance to Regulations of the WFiS UW, IFiS PAN and PTF Joint Librairies, the Lending Room can be used by:

  • all UW employees and students
  • employees and students of IFiS PAN and members of PTF and PTS
  • employees and students of institutions with which the library organizers have concluded relevant agreements
  • other users as part of the interlibrary loan system

Important!After ordering, the book is waiting in the rental office for 7 days.

Fees
  • For keeping books, you will be charged 40 groszy per day of keeping from one item.
  • Fees are not charged for public holidays.
  • The fee is charged from the expected date of return until the date of actual return.
  • The extension of the loan period AFTER the expected return date is treated as a return and repeat loan – which also results in a penalty from the expected return date to the date of extension.
The fee can be paid:
  • in person – payment in cash or credit/debit card,
  • electronically, to the account 86 1160 2202 0000 0000 6084 9393. The title of the transfer should include “library penalties – name, surname, reader card number”. After paying the fee, please send the confirmation of the transfer to the address wypozyczalnia.wfis@uw.edu.pl
